Piaggio India has set up its first overseas operations in Nepal. The company's iconic scooter brand Vespa made its debut in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

The Vespa range was unveiled in the presence of Stefano Pelle, managing director, Piaggio India at an exclusive launch event.

Abhushan Jyoti is the young and dynamic figurehead of D-Lifestyles, the official distributor of Polaroid and the Piaggio brand of 2-wheelers for Nepal (which includes reputed brands like Vespa, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi). D-lifestyles Pvt Ltd, authorised distributor of Aprilia will be bringing in the most well reviewed crossover scooter- Aprilia SR 150. According to Salil Shrestha, Marketing Executive at D-lifestyles Pvt Ltd, the scooter will be launched by the end of December this year.

D-Lifestyles, which introduced the Vespa brand of scooters in Nepal, has launched the Vespa SR 150 scooter in the market.

The price of the scooter starts from Rs 239,900. The Vespa SR 150 is a 150cc scooter and can reach a speed of 60 km per hour in 5.6 seconds. The scooter will be available in D-Lifestyles showrooms in Durbar Marg, Kupondole and Lazimpat.

D-lifestyles, the official distributor of Aprilia and Vespa scooters in Nepal, is all set to introduce the Moto Guzzi bikes in Nepal. As per the company, the bikes will be launched in the second half of January 2018. The company said that it will initially introduce Moto Guzzi V series bikes in Nepal, and price of the bikes in this series might go up to Rs. 25,00,000
